Welcome

merylcohnMeryl Cohn is a playwright* who usually writes comedy—sometimes very tragic comedy. The Cape Cod Times calls her work, “simultaneously over-the-top and innately human.”  The Provincetown Banner says that it’s “non-stop funny…and infused with comedic brilliance.”

Meryl Cohn is the winner of the 2009 Jane Chambers Playwriting Award. She was a semifinalist for both the 2008 and 2006 O’Neill National Playwrights Conference, a 2007 finalist for the Massachusetts Cultural Council Playwriting Award, and a 2006 Lark Play Development Center Semifinalist.  She studied Playwriting at Smith College and received an MFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
